Interactive Effect of Salinity and Potassium on Maize Yield

A pot culture experiment was undertaken during January 2021, in the greenhouse of Institute Agriculture Science (IAS), SOA Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha study interactive effects salinity and potassium levels on biomass yield, accumulation uptake K Na by maize. The conducted 2-factorial CRD with three replications twelve treatments consisting two irrigation water (SW0- normal EC-0.5 dS m-1,SW1-saline @ 8 m-1), sources fertilizers (KCl K2SO4), doses (K1-0,K2-60and K3-120 kg ha-1). results showed that continuous application saline (8 m-1) increased soil ECe ( Electrical Conductivity a saturated Extract) 182-360 % over treatments. Application (120 ha-1) significantly decreased 29%, yield (24%), (14%), (41%) content 17% ) control. K+/Na+ ratio maize 64% water. @120 ha-1 27% In stress environment, plant fairly correlated (R2=0.73), (R2=0.79), (R2=0.89) plant. failed correlate well yield. can considered as best indicator evaluating crop performance soil.
